Memorables colapsos de septiembre (en los precios de los futuros de diciembre de maíz y soja de noviembre)
Octubre 1, 2011 en Granos por edsworld
I couldn’t help myself. The information is out there so I had to know; Was the decline in December corn and November soybeans during the month of September the greatest ever?
The answer for corn is a resounding “yes,” both in terms of cents per bushel and percent decline. En la soja, the decline in 2011 era 2 cents greater than 2008, but in terms of a percentage decline, 2008 retains the title.
I went back to 1949 and I could only find 4 corn years and 3 soybean years with futures declines greater than 10% en septiembre. All but one occurred in the last eight years which, Creo que, is a comment on increased volatility in the grain markets.
