The dollar gained strength today against the euro, which helped send gold down for Thursday. Analysts say that Gold is moving in line with higher risk assets instead of as a means for risk aversion. The strong U.S.

equity market and economic news today also helped drive gold down.

Silver futures fell again today, adding onto its yearly decline. Palladium futures had its largest gain since earlier this month.
